Tumors have different textures and consistencies.
Sometimes tumors are firm and hard. At the time of surgery,
if this is felt to be the case, an ultrasonic aspirator helps to remove
the tumor. Seen here is an ultrasonic aspirator tip, gently
sucking up a firm meningioma. It works by gently vibrating tissue
and sucking it away.
