causalgia
Also known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy, this condition causes burning pain usually involving  the hand or foot.  There may be vascular changes, with the extremity being warm and pink, or cold, mottled and blue.  There may also be stiff joints, and dry, scaly skin.  The diagnosis is primarily on the history and exam.  There are no good diagnostic tests.
