of the brain allows a very small piece of tissue to be removed and
analyzed under the microscope. This may be done under CT or
MRI guidance, or using a stereotactic biopsy apparatus. Only
a small piece of tissue is obtained, and the specimen may therefore
not be representative of the entire tumor. |
